About the Committee
The Anti-Ragging Committee has been established to ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all students, especially newcomers adjusting to campus life.
The institute believes that a positive and secure atmosphere is essential for effective learning and personal growth. The committee actively works to prevent ragging, promote awareness, and ensure that every student feels protected and valued.

To create a ragging-free campus where students can learn, grow, and interact in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.

- To completely eliminate ragging from the campus
- To promote a culture of respect, equality, and dignity among students
- To ensure strict enforcement of anti-ragging rules and regulations

How We Operate
Prevention & Awareness
The committee conducts regular orientation sessions and awareness programs to educate students about what constitutes ragging and the serious consequences associated with it. Clear guidelines are shared with both new and senior students.
Monitoring & Vigilance
Continuous monitoring of campus areas, classrooms, hostels, and common spaces is carried out to prevent any incidents. Surprise checks and regular supervision ensure discipline and safety.
Complaint Handling & Support
Students are encouraged to report any incident without hesitation. The committee ensures that all complaints are handled promptly, confidentially, and without bias.
Immediate Action & Enforcement
Strict disciplinary action is taken against anyone found guilty of ragging, in accordance with institutional rules and government regulations.
Promoting Positive Campus Culture
The committee encourages healthy interactions, mentorship, and bonding activities between seniors and juniors to build a supportive and friendly campus environment.

Zero Tolerance Policy
Shivalik Institute of Nursing maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy against ragging in any form — physical, mental, verbal, or cyber. Any student found engaging in ragging will face strict disciplinary action as per UGC Anti-Ragging Regulations and government guidelines, which may include suspension or expulsion from the institution.
